imageCloud
ImageCloud is a jQuery plug-in based on Google’s Doodle designed for the Christmas holidays on 2010. “Basically” it was a bunch of frames with images that, when you mouse over, grow to their real size.
It takes all the images within a DIV tag (it could be any other though) and creates smaller frames of random size that are randomly positioned, so you get a different imageCloud every time that you reload the page.

WowWindow
WowWindow is an advanced modal window script and Lightbox alternative, which allows you to create zooming windows from images, inline content, or videos (YouTube or Vimeo). It uses CSS3 transformations (rotate or zoom) to present the windows, but still degrades sufficiently for browsers that do not support this.
WowWindow is a beta, and currently has incomplete documentation on the official demo page, though it works great and can be used in production. There is a full downloadable zip-archive with lots of sample code to play around with, and all the files you need to create the windows (styles and images included).
The windows can be made to do many more things than most standard modal window scripts, and it includes a fantastic feature to allow auto-generation of YouTube thumbnails for easy creation of video galleries.
Even though it’s a beta, it works great. All the main cross-browser issues have been solved, and it can be used in production under normal circumstances.
This is also a drag-and-drop plugin, because there is a feature to allow the windows to be dragged around, without requiring jQuery UI.

FlowGallery
FlowGallery is an image gallery based on the cover flow effect. The images are arranged on an endless horizontal line with no overlap of the images. The script is less than 5K (minified) in size and very easy to setup and configure. Loading indicators are displayed while images are loading and supports caption text below images.
